Site Context
The site is situated within the dispersed settlement fabric of Guhagar, where homes are traditionally embedded within dense vegetation, orchards, and undulating terrain rather than organized through rigid urban grids. The surrounding context reflects the spatial character of Konkan villages — narrow shaded pathways, layered thresholds, clustered homes, and a strong relationship between everyday life and landscape. This existing settlement pattern became a key reference in shaping the planning approach of the project.
